Reviving India's Lost Scientific Heritage

At the National Technology Day event held at Delhi University, NITI Aayog member Gobardhan Das emphasized India's historic scientific achievements that were marred by centuries of foreign domination. He asserted that invaders systematically destroyed India's vast repository of knowledge.

Das highlighted how Maharshi Kanada propounded atomic theory thousands of years before its discovery in the West, underscoring the need for India to regain its scientific prowess. National Technology Day serves as a reminder to foster innovation and technology, according to Delhi University leaders.

Echoing these sentiments, he pointed to India's progress and potential in areas like vaccine production, UPI transactions, and thorium reserves. The event, attended by senior officials, also emphasized the importance of promoting science in Indian languages.
