Teen golf prodigy Kartik Singh made a resounding impression during the opening day of the IGPL Invitational Delhi NCR, as he topped the leaderboard with an impressive 4-under 68. This performance comes just a week after his professional debut, signaling tremendous potential for the 16-year-old.
Despite challenging weather conditions, including a nearly three-hour rain delay accompanied by lightning threats, Singh maintained his focus. At 5-under through 17 holes, Singh incurred a bogey on the last hole to finish at a respectable 4-under, leading the field by one stroke.
Hot on Singh's heels were Tushar Pannu, Veer Ganapathy, and Aalaap IL, each scoring 3-under. Pannu, a fledgling professional himself, achieved a bogey-free round. Meanwhile, other notable performances include Kartik Sharma and Karandeep Kochhar, both of whom captured a 2-under, while veteran player Gaganjeet Bhullar was part of a group tied at even par.
