Rajat Patidar, captain of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), commended all-rounder Krunal Pandya for his indispensable contributions during their victorious IPL 2026 campaign. Patidar emphasized Pandya's team-first mentality, which proved instrumental in RCB securing consecutive IPL titles, with the latest win against Gujarat Titans by five wickets in Ahmedabad.
Pandya showcased his versatility over 16 matches, accumulating 226 runs at an average of 37.66 and an impressive strike rate of 145.80. His all-round performance included 14 wickets at an average of 30.55, underlining his value to the team. Patidar acknowledged Pandya's flexibility in adapting to various batting roles as crucial for RCB's success.
During a post-final media conference, Patidar highlighted Pandya's willingness to put team requirements first, irrespective of his batting position.
