Air India's Crisis Deepens as Flights Face Multiple Cancellations and Delays

Air India is grappling with an unprecedented crisis as flights to prominent destinations, including London and Paris, face cancellations and delays. The troubled period marks the largest challenge since the airline was acquired by the Tata group three and a half years ago.

On Tuesday, Air India's Delhi-Paris and Ahmedabad-London flights were cancelled due to pre-flight check issues and aircraft unavailability, respectively. A separate San Francisco-Mumbai flight suffered a technical snag during a stopover in Kolkata, prompting an emergency deplaning of passengers.

The turmoil has intensified scrutiny on the airline following a catastrophic crash in Ahmedabad that claimed more than 270 lives. This incident has compounded operational challenges, affecting consumer trust and causing significant disruptions in flight schedules.
