Historic Collaboration Boosts Maharashtra's Academic and Industrial Vision
A University Institute of Technology is being established in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra through a collaboration involving Gondwana University, Curtin University, and Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited. On Wednesday, a pioneering initiative was launched to bolster education and industry in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district. The establishment of a University Institute of Technology (UIT) will see collaboration between Gondwana University, Curtin University in Western Australia, and Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited.
The tripartite Memoranda of Understanding were formalized at Raj Bhavan with Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan overseeing the proceedings as chancellor of Gondwana University. The agreements promise to bring world-class engineering education and help transform Gadchiroli into a potential "Steel Hub of India."
The move, hailed as a 'historic stride' by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, aligns with Maharashtra's strategic development goals. The Australian Consul-General, Paul Murphy, also attended the event, underscoring the international significance of the collaboration.
