Chhatrapati Shivaji: A Beacon of Inspiration to Illuminate Textbooks

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has directed the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) to provide extensive coverage of Chhatrapati Shivaji's contributions in educational textbooks. The move aims to highlight Shivaji's inspirational legacy, which is seen as a guiding light for both current and future generations.

Pradhan disclosed this initiative following a meeting with Maharashtra School Education Minister Dadaji Bhuse. The discussions focused on various aspects of the National Education Policy (NEP) and its implementation, especially in strengthening the school education ecosystem in Maharashtra.

The Education Minister conveyed his decision to incorporate more comprehensive content about Shivaji's life and achievements in textbooks, underscoring its importance in helping young children realize their full potential and fostering inspiration guided by Shivaji's exemplar legacy.
