The Border Security Force (BSF) recently apprehended five Bangladeshi nationals who entered India illegally through Meghalaya's East Jaintia Hills district.
The individuals reportedly confessed to navigating through the hilly terrain and bypassing the broken border fence, facilitated by an agent, to reach Chennai for employment opportunities.
The group was in possession of forged Aadhaar and voter ID cards. One of the detainees had been residing in India for nearly a year, gaining proficiency in multiple Indian languages. The BSF detained them based on a tip-off, preventing a potential security breach.
