The court mandates a personal appearance from Sharma and Parulekar on September 20. The allegations originate from content shared by Sharma on YouTube and Parulekar on Twitter, which reportedly implicated Adani Group in alleged land acquisition controversies in Assam.
Adani Group has refuted these allegations, calling them misleading and citing a Gauhati High Court ruling that allegedly doesn't mention the company. If the case reaches trial, the accused could face penalties, including imprisonment.
