Tragic Traffic Incident: Constable Killed in Sasaram
A traffic police constable was killed in Sasaram, Bihar, after being hit by a tractor for stopping the vehicle beyond allotted timings. Despite being rushed to a trauma centre, he succumbed to injuries. The tractor was seized, and a hunt is underway for the absconding driver.

A traffic police constable lost his life in Sasaram, Bihar, on Saturday after a tractor knocked him down. The incident occurred around 8 am when the constable attempted to halt the vehicle violating local traffic regulations.
The tractor driver attempted to speed away from the scene after hitting the constable, leaving the vehicle abandoned by the roadside. The injured officer was immediately transported to the BHU trauma center in Varanasi, around 50 km away, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
Local authorities, led by Rohtas Superintendent of Police Raushan Kumar, have confiscated the tractor and initiated a manhunt for the driver, who remains at large. The incident highlights ongoing challenges in enforcing traffic regulations in the town.
