In a dramatic turn of events, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak launched a scathing critique of the Samajwadi Party (SP) and its leader, Akhilesh Yadav, dubbing them 'Nawaazwadi' and alleging their disregard for the Indian Constitution.

Pathak's comments came in the wake of a meeting reportedly held by Akhilesh Yadav at the Parliament Street mosque in New Delhi. He emphasized that using religious sites for political engagements contradicts constitutional provisions, accusing the SP of habitual violations. "They do not have faith in the constitution," Pathak told ANI.

Amid these accusations, SP MP Rajeev Rai retorted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) should concentrate on addressing controversies surrounding its leaders rather than targeting SP's religious visits. "Do we have to take a license from BJP to visit temples and mosques now?" Rai remarked to ANI.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav expressed concerns that BJP's motives lie in creating societal divides. "Faith connects...However, the BJP wants people to stay divided," Yadav stated. Meanwhile, BJP Minority Morcha's National President Jamal Siddiqui criticized SP's actions at the mosque, labeling it as a makeshift party office. Siddiqui called for action against Mohibullah Nadvi, the Imam of the mosque, and plans a protest against SP's activities.
