BRS Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) launched a fierce critique of Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy following the latter's comments on housing in Hyderabad. KTR demanded the Congress fulfill its promise of constructing 20 lakh Indiramma houses before seeking electoral support, questioning the party's courage to live up to its words.
KTR emphasized that promises and declarations from the Congress are insufficient without action. He challenged the ruling party to ensure it adheres to its election manifesto, highlighting BRS's track record in building quality, double-bedroom homes as a national model, contrasting them with Congress's 'box houses'.
Accusations of demolishing homes instead of constructing housing for the poor were directed at the Congress government. KTR called for transparency through a White Paper on housing projects and accused Congress of corruption and exploiting government systems. He assured that BRS would continue holding Congress accountable, despite any diversion tactics or publicity stunts.
