The incessant downpour has tragically claimed lives and left many stranded, with at least five casualties reported and over 500 individuals marooned in Dehradun and neighboring areas. Landslides and flash floods in Himachal's Mandi district further claimed the lives of three family members, highlighting the severe impact of the weather.
While meteorologists forecast a continuation of this weather pattern, significant economic repercussions mount, with officials estimating losses in Himachal Pradesh at over Rs 4,504 crore, underscoring the dire consequences of these unpredictable monsoon conditions.
