PWR Indian League and Tour Private Limited (PWR) has received the green light from the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) to establish a national franchise-based pickleball league. This initiative, endorsed by the Sports Authority of India under the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry, aims to broaden the sport's presence in India.
The Indian Pickleball League, envisioned by PWR, is a strategic move to foster athlete development and offer structured opportunities for players, franchises, and partners. Details regarding the league's schedule, participating franchises, and format will be divulged in the near future.
Over the past year, PWR has been pivotal in organizing pickleball events in Delhi, Dubai, Bhubaneshwar, and Noida, nurturing a competitive environment that enhances the national ranking framework and enriches the Pickleball World Ranking (PWR) system. The Indian Pickleball Association, affiliated with the Asian Pickleball Association and the Global Pickleball Federation, continues to promote and develop the sport nationwide.
