Amid ongoing protests over alleged mismanagement, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is considering conducting a retest for the Selection Post Phase 13 examination candidates who faced logistical hurdles. The announcement was made by SSC Chairman, S Gopalakrishnan, addressing widespread grievances over exam disruptions that included technical malfunctions and inappropriate center allocations.

During the test period from July 24 to August 1, over 5 lakh candidates faced various issues, prompting SSC to send an official note to Eduquity Career Technologies, the exam vendor. The Commission is analyzing data to identify aggrieved candidates and may conduct an additional round of testing if justified, according to the Chairman.

Following candidate protests and harsh social media backlash, SSC has acknowledged the shortcomings in examination management. The body plans to impose penalties on the vendor for system failures but stopped short of terminating their contract. The SSC is poised to ensure smoother operations in upcoming examinations, promising fewer disruptions.
