In a significant breakthrough for security forces, a top commander of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI), carrying a bounty of Rs 15 lakh, was killed during a shootout in Jharkhand's Gumla district.
The clash occurred Tuesday night around 9:30 PM in the Changabadi Upartoli area, when security personnel encountered resistance while conducting a search operation. According to law enforcement, upon reaching the site, PLFI members opened fire, prompting a retaliatory response in which Martin Kerketta, a notorious PLFI figure, was killed.
