Delhi Police have arrested a Canada-based agent, Guramritpal Singh Multani, also known by his alias Pali, from Ahmedabad. The arrest is tied to a six-year-old case involving forged travel documents for passengers heading abroad, officials reported on Friday.

Identified as a 54-year-old Canadian resident, Pali was implicated in a 2019 police case after nine Indians were deported from Ethiopia. They were found with fraudulent Continuous Discharge Certificates (CDCs) purportedly issued by Samoa's government.

A former national-level kabaddi player, Pali turned to forgery as a lucrative venture after moving to Canada. His arrest highlights an ongoing investigation to dismantle his network and expose others in the fraudulent document racket, police officials said.
