Tragic Soil Collapse Traps Workers in Pune

A tragic incident unfolded in Pune on Monday evening when a mound of soil collapsed during drainage work, trapping three laborers. The accident happened near Sinhgad Road, just outside the Nanded City gated township, officials reported.
The Pune Fire Brigade successfully rescued one of the trapped workers, who was immediately administered oxygen. However, rescue efforts are still ongoing as two laborers remain trapped under the soil.
Officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) are jointly coordinating the rescue operation, aiming to extricate the remaining victims as promptly as possible.
